I have had the awesome honor to meet this wonderful "Mama" ,Dorothy
Shafernocker, to all Vietnam Veterans and one 'military artist from
Texas'...me. She lost her son, Michael Schafernocker in Vietnam, but has
gained the love of thousands. I just wanted to share her site.

On a return trip from a Navy SEAL reunion in San Diego, I met some great
guys who served alongside our UDT/SEALs during Vietnam. We found out that
they actually worked with the very guys I had been visiting at the reunion.
They hadn't seen each other since their service. It was just meant to be for
them to reunite after all those years. Wow! I will be doing a sketch about
them, what an honor!
